Auto UV Unwrap & Pack 2.0 is designed to give you instant, production-ready UVs with just one click. Whether you’re preparing models for baking, texturing, or export, this tool handles unwrapping and packing intelligently, saving you hours of manual work. It automatically detects sharp edges, applies optimal unwrap settings, and packs islands tightly with minimal wasted space. In version 2.0, it goes even further by letting you bake textures directly after unwrapping — including non-native types like Albedo and Metalness — all without leaving the panel. This makes it the perfect companion for texture artists, game developers, and anyone working with procedural or exported assets.
How to Use:
1. Select object you want to unwrap.
2. Switch to the UV Editing workspace.
• In the Image Editor (the panel on the left side of the UV Editing layout), open the N-panel (press N if it’s hidden).
• Go to the Auto UV tab — this is where the add-on’s tools are located.
3. In the Auto UV panel:
• Adjust the Angle Threshold if needed (the default works well for most meshes).
• Set the Margin for packing.
4. Click Auto Unwrap & Pack — done!
5. A UV map will be automatically created and efficiently packed into the 0–1 space.
6. You can now bake, texture, or export your asset immediately.
Notes:
- Works with any object type that supports UVs (meshes only).
- If the object already has a UV map, it will be replaced unless you choose to preserve it.
- Ideal for procedural workflows, game asset prep, or batch operations.
Installation instruction:
- Download the .zip file
- In Blender, go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install.
- Select the .zip file you downloaded and click Install Add-on.
- Enable the add-on by checking the checkbox next to its name in the Add-ons tab.
