Captain Korsakow's Dive Bar – A Pirate Scene with Depth. Dive into the hidden world of a pirate ship with this detailed Blender scene. "Captain Korsakow's Dive Bar" invites you to reconsider the often romanticized pirate myth and explore the gritty reality of life under the black flag. This scene is an attempt to weave a deeper narrative that extends beyond the obvious. The atmosphere was also inspired by a small story, an "Excerpt from a Child's Logbook": "We children often played on deck, Twister and hopscotch sometimes. But there were also secrets on our ship – so it seemed. A part of the four skylights was constantly covered, even in good weather! From a certain angle, we could only guess what was going on down in that chamber. It was strange, at the very least. It also happened repeatedly, at irregular intervals, that we children and the women were disembarked in the port of the small island for days – and had to wait for days for the men and our ship. Only Long Hans seemed to know! Sometime, I decided, I would just go through the door in our dive bar and look, that was strictly forbidden, on bread and water!" The scene depicts a section of the ship below deck, consisting of a dive bar and an adjacent treasure and torture chamber. Both areas receive light through skylights, which can be sealed waterproof with tar-soaked linen cloth when needed. Highlights and Technical Details of the Scene: Realistic Lighting: The scene includes exterior lighting (sun and area light) for the skylights, as well as an additional camera-parented 6-watt light to illuminate the foreground. Dynamic Lamps: All Argand lamps in both rooms are equipped with simulated smoke and fire effects. To ensure the necessary cache files are generated and to avoid error messages, the animation should be run once from Frame 0 to Frame 55. Customizable Elements: The scene's walls are collapsible, allowing for flexible camera angles. The Skylights cover directly above the cage are removable. Versatile Materials: The imagery and colors of the Argand lamps, as well as the text on the rum barrel, can be easily adjusted using color settings and B/W masks. Optimized Assets: Reusable materials are provided in 4K resolution, without cropping. The scene utilizes Geometry Nodes for the rope on the counter and the block and tackle. I wish you much fun with the Blender scene, and may your scenes succeed.
