Tabs interface add-on takes whole Blender UI and changes all panels to draw as tabs, with a fixed order.

Try it for a few hours, and you'll never come back to default UI.

Add-on for optimising face counts.

Optiloops goes through loops of the mesh and removes loops selectively either when only whole loops get deleted or when max face angle is present on the loop, so the shape is kept as much as possible.

You can keep loops by these properties:

  • UV seams
  • loops essential for subsurf shape (sometimes called offset edges)

You can either run optiloops on whole mesh, or on the selection. The selection is 'grown' from selected edges, so whole loops get removed.

It's possible also only select edges for removal, and then decide if they should be removed.

Sometimes, the operator can be run several times to get to the desired result.

Find the optiloops operation in mesh cleanup or mesh delete menus.

  • Inverse subdivision snapping: snaps mesh vertices in edit mode so that if the subdivision modifier is used, the resulting surface is as close as possible to the surface. Live, or 'Simulation' mode of this tool, which works realtime during modeling Neighbours levels, Number of iteration settings
  • Single step operator that can be called with a shortcut with arbitrary number of iterations.
  • Unsubdivide - takes a mesh that resulted from a subdivision modifier being applied (In blender or in any other application) and recreates the original low-resolution mesh. -has settings for number of subdivisions, number of iterations of the algorithm. Higher interation numbers yield precise results.

Basic instructions:

Read tooltips directly in the add-on. Every button should have enough info to use the tool.

You need to have a mesh that has Subdivision surface modifier on. Any other modifiers will turn off during interaction.
