Round shield from Innsbruck, which is dated around 1505 and Emperor Maximilian I, the son of Friedrich III. von Habsburg, has heard. The shield is made of forged iron and is partly fire-gilded and etched. The etched decoration is filled with black oil paint (modern addition). The rosettes are silver, fire-gilt, and the back is covered with leather. The rosettes are made of brass, fire-gilded. The Marian hymn "AVE MVNDI SPES MARIA [...]" is etched in the edge of the shield. The shield is in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna in the court hunting and armory and has the inventory number A 163.
