This bear is inspired by the the Green Hairstreak. The Green Hairstreak (Callophrys rubi) is a small lycaenid butterfly. Both sexes have brown uppersides, while the undersides are bright green; males can be distinguished by a scent patch on the forewings. It is widespread from North Africa through Europe to Siberia, China, and Korea. In the Czech Republic it is common in lowlands and mid-altitudes, but scarce in mountains. Habitats include forest edges, clearings, heaths, sandy pine woods, and peat bogs. The species is univoltine, flying from late March to June, and overwinters as a pupa.
