This is an ultra-high-detail 3D model of the RMS Titanic, designed entirely in Blender with approximately 2 million polygons. It features fully procedural, limitless-quality materials, animated smoke, animated propellers, and a wind-reactive flag – all optimized for both still renders and cinematic animations.
⚠ Important Notes for Users:
Heavy Model: Due to the high polygon count, it's recommended to hide unused ship sections (e.g., hide the rear when rendering the front) to optimize viewport and render performance.
Procedural Materials: All materials are created with the Shader Editor only – no image textures are used. This ensures infinite resolution, but may be resource-intensive.
→ Users with weaker systems should bake materials before final rendering to prevent performance issues.
Displacement Settings: Materials are set to "Bump Only" instead of true displacement to save system memory. You can enable true displacement manually if your system supports it.
Modifiers Setup:
Subdivision Level: Set to 1 by default.
Viewport Performance: All heavy modifiers (Subdivision, Mirror, Bevel, Array) are disabled in the viewport but active for rendering.
Animation Details:
Smoke Stacks: Each chimney emits animated volumetric smoke via procedural shaders.
Flag Animation: Includes a fully simulated cloth flag, animated using Blender’s wind force field with strength set to 5000.
Propeller Movement: The propellers spin automatically with a driver, no keyframes needed.
✅ Render Tips:
Use Viewport Render Region and Collection Visibility to isolate parts of the model during scene setup.
For final rendering, enable all modifiers and smoke simulations in the render settings.
If you’re planning to animate the ship, bake smoke and cloth simulations beforehand.
For fast previews, switch materials to a simplified version or bake them temporarily.
Perfect for: Film shots, cinematic renders, historical visualization, and animation practice.
