This bear is inspired by Kallima butterfly. Kallima inachus, the orange oakleaf, is a nymphalid butterfly found across tropical Asia from India to Japan. With closed wings it perfectly mimics a dry leaf, complete with dark veins, making it a classic example of camouflage. The open wings reveal a striking contrast of black, orange, and deep blue, with eye-like spots. Males and females are similar, though females are larger, with more pointed forewings and paler underside markings. A strong flier, it inhabits dense forests, often feeding on sap, rotting fruit, or at mud-puddles. When threatened, it drops into foliage and closes its wings, becoming almost invisible.
