This bear is inspired by the Emperor Moth. The Emperor Moth (Saturnia pavonia) is the most widespread European member of the Saturniidae family, found across Europe and parts of Asia. Its habitats include forest steppes, sunny grasslands, peat bogs, gardens, and elevations from lowlands to mountains. Both sexes have a similar wing pattern with striking eye-spots resembling peacock feathers. The species produces one generation per year, with adults flying from April to early June. Males are active during the afternoon, rapidly searching for females, which rest by day and fly at dusk and night.
