Bandit Hideout – Abandoned Tunnel is an animated 3D environment set inside a weathered stone tunnel located in a canyon, surrounded on three sides by steep cliffs. The setting is built to feel like a concealed refuge, with natural rock formations and a sturdy stone arch leading into the tunnel.
A central campfire provides the main light source and is made entirely with a procedural flame shader—no simulations—so it runs smoothly without heavy performance costs. The fire is supported by procedural smoke created with geometry nodes, along with occasional sparks from a basic particle system. Lanterns inside the tunnel give off a soft, flickering light that mimics real candle flames, and fireflies move gently through the air to add life to the scene.
The area around the fire is scattered with crates, supplies, and a sword resting on a box, suggesting the hideout is in use. At the back of the tunnel, a wooden barricade blocks the passage, with subtle lighting drawing attention to the interior.
Assets such as the sword, rocks, and cliff formations are from Polyhaven under a CC0 license. All animation and effects are fully procedural, keeping the scene efficient for rendering while maintaining visual detail.
