Today's BlenderKit service outage and our response to it 🔗

Today, we experienced an outage of our service for several hours.
Our service is used by up to 200k users per month, so we take a lot of responsibility to keep the tool you're used to running flawlessly and non-stop. We have mechanisms to check that our servers are online. We have always upgraded these when anything happened, but we did not count on a partial outage where the site was working but the API was not.

Yet today, on the same day, Petr, our server wizard, managed to tweak the checking mechanism on multiple aspects of our server.

We believe that this will prevent us from experiencing the same type of outage again, as we have seen with other outages that have always had a different cause.

On the following page you can check if our servers are running, especially if you are not sure if your firewall is blocking access to us, etc.
