Release notes 3.12.1 πŸ”—

We are excited to announce the release of BlenderKit 3.12.1. This update brings several new features and bug fixes designed to enhance your asset management and improve overall functionality.

New Features πŸ”—

πŸ†• Open Directory Button: Added a button to open the directory containing the asset on asset's card. You can access the card in search results, or by right-clicking on asset in scene and going to BlenderKit menu option. Open directory button is available on assets which are present locally on disk #1160

❗ Detailed Error Messages: Added detailed error messages into Client if a non-blocking HTTP request ends with a non-200ish status. This improves quality of error messages and helps to debug the problems more effectively. #1122

Bug fixes πŸ”—

πŸ› οΈ Fix Upload for Complex Assets: Resolved an issue that caused failed uploads for assets with huge number of render faces. If your upload fails with "A valid integer is required."],"parameterType":"faceCountRender", this fix brings a solution to you. #1113

🌐 Fallback Client Starting Address: Implemented a fallback to 127.0.0.1 if localhost fails on meshed wifi networks and other esoteric networks and setups with error: Failed to start server: listen tcp 143.244.220.150:62485: bind: cannot assign requested address #1111

πŸ“– Correctly Read aboutMeUrl: Fixed an issue where the aboutMeUrl was not correctly read from search results and filled in author's profile.

πŸ–±οΈ Viewport Drag Drop Fix: Fixed the drag and drop issue in the viewport when over a plane and facing up, or under a plane and facing down. #1141

πŸ—‚οΈ Windows Filepath Length: Ensured the filepath is not longer than 250 characters on Windows, syncing Slugify in Python and Go. #1147

πŸŒ… HDR Resolution Download: BlenderKit now correctly downloads the HDR resolution selected in the UI. #1124

πŸ”’ Type Correction: Changed the type for AssetFile.results.files.resolution to int, improving stability of resolutions. #1132

🏷️ Private Storage Info: Fixed information about remaining private storage and quota. #1150

πŸ†• New File Asset Type Change: Fixed an issue when creating a new file and the search asset type is changed.
