wk BookArt Addon

wk_bookart is a Blender add-on that turns a black-and-white image or a silhouette captured from a 3D object into printable BookArt patterns. It helps you design structured folding instructions and ready-to-print templates for book folding art. With just a few clicks, you can preview the motif, choose a folding mode, and export both CSV instructions with measurements and SVG templates suitable for printing.

• Take a black-and-white image or a captured silhouette/slice from a 3D mesh.
• Generate a visual preview of black/white cubes showing an estimate of how your motif will look like.
• Choose between Cut or Alternate folding logic.
• Export detailed CSV folding instructions with page numbers, fold positions and segment indices.
• Export SVG printable patterns showing gray/w white bars and cut indicators ready for print.

Image & Object Source
Work directly from an image or from a 3D object silhouette. You can rotate, edit, or slice the object before capture.

Preview
Visualize the motif layout as simplified black and white cubes in Blender to check proportions and spacing before export.

Fold Mode
Choose how the tool handles multiple segments on a sheet:

• Cut Pages: inserts cut lines between segments.
• Alternate: distributes top and bottom segments over successive sheets.

CSV Export
Export folding instructions with precise top and bottom fold positions and segment indices.

SVG Export
Generate a printable pattern where gray areas stay and white areas are folded away. Vertical cut indicators are shown for Cut Pages. This layout is ready for PDF or vector edits.

Flexible Output
Use the CSV for measurement-based workflows, and the SVG for printable templates in design or craft projects.
