Free Add-ons
Sharing free add-ons via BlenderKit is completely free. Even better, creators are paid for sharing their free add-ons based on our fair share redistribution system. For now, free add-ons are rated internally by our validation team.
How to upload add-ons 🔗
- To upload add-ons, you must have a BlenderKit account. Register for free.
- Log in to your BlenderKit account. If it is your first login, fill in your profile. Having a profile is necessary for sharing assets via BlenderKit.
- Go to My Assets in your Profile.
- Click on the button: Upload Add-on
- Fill in the info about your add-on. Add headings, texts, images, and YouTube videos. Combine the different types of content to produce the best presentation for your add-on.
- Upload a featured image in a square format.
- Upload add-on .ZIP file (Blender extensions format).
- Choose add-on status: Draft, Private, Free, or For Sale
- Click on the button: Save as daft or Save
- Wait for validation. To ensure the quality of our library, all public assets go through validation. Our validation team will send you a notification to let you know if your add-on was accepted, needs to be improved, or is not suitable for BlenderKit. Validation can take up to a few days.
- Once your add-on is successfully validated, it will become available for all.
